You should be using a DVI cable with that monitor. Do not use a VGA (DSUB) cable, those are old fashioned analog cables that will give you a bad picture. Usually monitor manufacturers cheap out and fail to give people the necessary DVI cable they need to connect their nice new monitor. The monitor probably came with an old fashioned VGA (DSUB) cable and you probably thought you were supposed to use that when in fact you aren’t. TV manufacturers do the same thing to people, it’s completely stupid.
